What We Do

At Lewis County Footsteps of Hope, we take a holistic approach to addressing the challenges faced by students in need. We aim to meet their immediate needs while also creating long-term opportunities that pave the way for brighter futures.

Our work includes:

  • Providing Basic Needs:

Ensuring students have access to essential items such as food, clothing, shoes, and hygiene products, empowering them to focus on learning and personal growth.

  • Fighting Hunger:

Establishing school-based food pantries, weekend backpack programs, and other initiatives to combat food insecurity, one of the most pressing challenges in our community.

  • Promoting Well-Being:

Supporting the mental, emotional, and physical health of students through targeted programs and resources that foster resilience and self-confidence.

  • Encouraging Educational Success:

Removing barriers to learning by supplying school supplies, technology, and other tools students need to excel in their education.

  • Strengthening Community Connections:

Partnering with schools, families, and local organizations to create a network of support that uplifts children and strengthens the entire community.

  • Advocating for Equity:

Working to ensure that every child, regardless of their background or circumstances, has equal access to opportunities and the tools they need to succeed.

As we grow, our programs will continue to expand to meet the evolving needs of Lewis County students. Whether it’s through emergency assistance, enrichment opportunities, or larger community initiatives, we remain steadfast in our commitment to creating a foundation of hope and success for every child we serve.
