Cornerstone Education Coordinator, Chehalis
I work for Chehalis School District's Cornerstone program. We are a grant funded, parent support program, and we connect families to resources to ensure they are successful. Since meeting with Paula Burrows, we have received so much support and guidance. Paula is the reason we now have a successful food pantry for our community. Paula stocked our pantry and then guided us to make sure the pantry is sustainable. We have been able to present to the businesses in the community alongside Paula and she truly has a heart for children and families. Besides the food pantry, Paula has also supported us in other ways. She has donated many items of clothing to our Career Closet so that parents who are going back to school or going back to work, can choose items to help them feel confident. She has also donated multiple brand new coats for children in our community. Because of Paula, and the team of people that she connects with, we have grown our program to allow additional resources for our families. Her passion pushes us to always dream big and to make things happen, for that we are extremely grateful.
Pe Ell District
I am blessed to have met Paula. She contacted me to see if she could help our school. She started out by gifting us an abundance of clothing. We were able to help many kids. Paula then preceded to set up a food pantry in our school. She is very concerned about children not having enough to eat. The food pantry is available through out the school day. It also contains items for at home if needed. Paula also thoughtfully lined up donors to help keep our shelves full. We are so grateful for all Paula has done for our school.
Superintendent, Centralia School District
Ensuring that every child has the essentials to thrive in school is critical to their success, and is already making a tremendous impact in our district. Even as they are getting up and running, they are already rallying community partners and securing donations. Their dedication to our students is truly inspiring. I am excited to see how their continued support will remove barriers and help our children focus on learning. We are grateful for their commitment to our kids and their future!
